My college roommate Rattrap took this picture of my cat Sara years ago. I posted it on this site some time ago. I have noticed that this pic and saying has become prevelant on the web, being used as signatures and avatars on forums all over the place. I grabbed the domain name before someone snatched it away from me. I hope you enjoy the pic!

    I’ve seen this photo in any number of places, and the reason I like it best is that it looks just like MY cat. Same coloration, same pink/black mottling of the footpads, MINE even has the same dark spots along the gumline and on the roof of his mouth. Amazin’. And YES….he looks just like that when he’s p*ssed off too! ;)

    The only way I could tell this wasn’t a photo of me and Quantum is that I don’t have manicured nails like those in the pic!!! ;)

    Not that anyone will believe me, but I made this picture (photoshopped the text on the cat picture that made me laugh for about 45 minutes after finding it on google image search) in 2004 for LiveJournal usage. Now its on a thousand websites.     Markings can change and can move as the kitten grows.
    Eye color can change.
    Tooth layout can change.
    About the only thing that can’t change is extra toes.

    I’m not saying it is the same cat or not, but these things are not definite indicators.

    Since we keep getting comments that Sara and the Scared Kitty are not the same cat, we are gonna have to put pictures and video to demonstrate that we are not lying; I have absolutely nothing to gain by lying about this.

    If those who are so certain that they aren’t the same cat are such experts, then why has no one been able to identify the difference in age b/w Scared Kitty and Sara? That picture was taken when Sara was three years old. Sara turned eleven on Thursday.

    Pics and video will follow. Honestly, if you all don’t believe they are the same cat, I don’t care. It doesn’t change the fact that Sara is the Scared Kitty.

    Not the same cat scary cat has no upper fangs and on sara’s pic called cute sara_4 the cat has fangs then on scary cat one paw that shows the foot pads show that scarycat has 4 black pads and 1 big white pad and on sleepy sara 2 _ 3 pic same foot but has 5 black paws. and sara cat dose not have and etra toe’s 5 are normal .. and on scary cat the white pad is bigger then normal …. i could go on with how differnt the cats are your not fooling me as someone who live and works with cats. my job is to spot out differnt things about are pet and i have the eye for it..

    I have to agree with Will that it is kinda silly to have to ‘prove’ Sara is our cat. But to appease the masses, Will and I will take the time and pictures necessary to do just that.

    I know in reality we only have to take one picture…one that shows the roof of her mouth. That spot is Sara’s birthmark and just like humans, it is a defining characteristic.

    Naysayers be prepared to have your questions answered. If you are nice, we may throw in some ‘Scared Kitty’ in action for you.

    You have got to be kidding me. I can’t believe I have to prove that Sara is the scared kitty. Where do you get the idea that the scared kitty is polydactyl? I clearly see five toes on her left forepaw.

    Nad and I will take several pictures of Sara, for comparison purposes, and show that Sara and Scared Kitty are one and the same.

    I’m doubting that the “scared cat” is Sara.

    1. “Scared cat” clearly has extra toes - none of Sara’s pictures shows extra toes.

    2. “Scared cat” has white fur under both eyes - Sara has brown and gray fur under her left eye in all of her photos.

    3. “Scared cat” has a wide white patch above the nose, while Sara shows very little white above her nose.

    4. Sara has prominant upper fangs - “scared cat” appears to be missing the upper fangs.

    Yah, it’s a minor thing, but I’d really like to have Will or Nadia respond, as I’m not the only one who has noticed…
